Title: Out of the Dark
Name: Conny Lobsien
Country: Germany
Software: CINEMA 4D, GIMP, ZBrush

Hi Guys

Two Kids are feeding some cute baby creatures in front of a huge dark cave. The children do not notice, that the mother is leaving the cave to watch over her babys, until the boy is feeling her hot breath on his neck.

I used Cinema4D and ZBrush for this work.
And at last I finished it in GIMP.
Critiques and comments are most welcome. Thanks.

There's some cool things going on here....neat characters, creatures and art style. It has a neat old school stop motion/claymation feel to it. I think the next step would be to maybe better implement the story. It's hard to understand what's gong on or taking place by looking at it, so I can't really "feel" the image, know what I mean? Also, I don't think the ground texture is working very well. It's a bit blurry, and it makes reading the image a bit more difficult. It kind of seems like it's a depth of field effect, but it's not. Composition and positioning of characters could maybe be a little better. Think about leading the viewers eye through the image. Where do you want the viewer's eye to go first? And where after that? Leading the viewers eye to differnt elements of the image will help tell the story as well. You're on your way, keep it up!

Great Image! Especially the girl and the little dragon on the right are very very cute and make me smile. Thumbs up!
