Hey guys,

So this is incredibly frustrating and it's the second time I've had this problem in painter (on a separate machine).

When painting, sometime painter glitches and shoots my stroke off to the side, or vertically (as in this case) at the end of my stroke when i'm lifting the pen off the tablet. It is driving me nuts and making it impossible to work.

I never had this problem in painter 9, but for some reason painter X is possessed.

I'm using a Wacom tablet with current drivers, a pen with the springy tip, Win XP on a mac book pro (but I also had this problem on my intel desktop running XP.

Here is a photo to help illustrate the problem:

Thanks for any insight. I'll also post at the corel forums to see if I can find anything out, but so far a search through the database hasn't given me much.

Cheers--

same thing is happening to me. started adjusting spacing/cubic interpolation/damping settings, and now can't get a smooth stroke back. if i draw a circle, the end of the curve is kinked when i lift the pen. hope someone can tell us why?

you're absolutely right.

since the search function for the forum is disabled i didn't wanna spend time looking through each post page by page. but thanks for pointing this out.

i'll try plugging in the tablet directly to the computer and see if that helps.
