hello, first time poster to these forums but i figure i needed help from some pros.

im not sure what ive altered lately in my copy of max 5 but when i move my mesh in any of the 4 viewports it dissapears and it replaced with a hitbox view temporarily instead of the actual mesh. now this isnt a serious problem for me but it is becoming annoying. does anyone know how to revert the viewport back to its original state? i mean what did i acidentally change?

please i need help on this bigtime, thanks for reading.

I dont have max 5, but in max 4 that is called "Degradation override"

on mine its one of three buttons along the bottom of the screen.

see if its still there in 5.

omfg, thank you so much. i checked the help files of max 5 and there was nothing concerning degradation overide but upon further searching i discovered that if i hit "o" it reverted back to what it was before. its now fixed and i can continue modelling thank you once again m8.

thanks for the welcome speech equinoxx, but i can assure you i did search prior to posting and i also made sure my question was as specific as i could make it. im a moderator on the wavelength forums http://www.thewavelength.net/forums/ we deal mainly with quake and halflife related game editing, and have to do this type of thing everyday so i can understand your concerns.
