I did this piece for an Imagefx challenge called Duality.
I used Photoshop CS2 and Painter IX.5. It depicts a female who is changing into stone as the result of a spell that was cast upon her. The stone effect was interesting to do. See hi-res image. Thanks.

I like the soft lighting that you used and the soft palette. But without reading in your post that the girl is turning to stone I probably wouldn't have guessed it from the picture. The texture you're using on the stone and the transitions between skin and rock are starting to show, but I think you could exagerate it a little more. :)

I see what you say. I should have probably done more of her in stone or most of her rather and just leave some skin natural. Thanks for the comment.
