Hello! Glad to be here again! Thanx for visiting my entry and good luck to you!

This is the first fast sketch, just to capture the whole idea.

My Image will show a struggle/fight between a human and an alien kid on a schoolyard. The whole scene is set on some colonized planet. My intention was(is) to depict a human alien-interaction in a rather non-standard but still trivial manner.

I hope you like it and am looking forward to your comments. :)

I started colouring the first sketch just to make it look better, but doing this I realized that there is no way I colud make this one in 3D on time, so I made up my mind again and will finish it as a paintjob... And beacuse it was too much fun using my new tablet the way it should actualy be used ;)

After my decision to paint, I've scaled the low-res-coloured image to a deliverable full-res size and started refining in Photoshop.

I started to color the scene and added some details on different places in order to get more sensitive concerning the overall detail-depth.

Thanks Ferx, I'm glad that you like the concept! :D

Well I was pretty busy with some regular projects last week and there is more work coming on. This is good for my business, but bad for this image. I still believe I'll manage to finish it, but it's not going to be a good example of nice workflow and time-management for sure... sigh.

Here is a rather minor update. My biggest achievement last week was that I've finaly found "my" painting-technique, so everything should go faster now. Well, it must anyway... tic-tac-tic-tac... :wip:
