Beautiful, Janine.
Looks like the hdri reflecion is outside in a field at sunset, yet the glass is inside an empty space. It might be cool to create a stronger sense of sunlight pouring into the room or place the glass in an outdoor scene. Perhaps against a wall so you wouldnt need to do the usual blurry background sky thing.
Or make the reflected image less crisp and subtler. Its awesome looking and very realistic overall, its just that the reflection when compared with the gray background environment the glass sits in pulls it out of reality a bit for me.

Well the water is a lathe nurbs, nothing difficult, the flower... is a bit more complicated yes :p

You can make a nice daisy if you use displacement illumination on a smushed sphere. It looks pretty good considering its just a shader. Although your going to have to model the stem and leaves :(...

I can assure you there are no beaches or palm trees in this part of England, unfortunately. :cool:
It's actually on an old rail track bridge (one of my own HDRIs). :)

I agree with the other crits... IMHO the current scene is very plain... as much as I like shiney objects.
I REALLY like squids idea for a goldfish addition.

great pic. but to take squids idea even farther why don't you add a mechanical goldfish in there.
