View Full Version : wierd rotation problem

I've got this wierd thing when I rotate my objects. It seems to happen when I like up a lot of objects together in the hierarchy.

Here's 2 screenshots. notice the scaling of the hand, it changes as I rotate it on the X axis(red)

also, rotating the X axis also rotates all the other...

did you make the bones and adjust them using the model tool or the object tool. Always ALWAYS setup your bones using the mocel tool otherwise you screw up the scale of the bones which is why they change in scale while you rotate.

as you can see in the hierarchy, i did not use bones.

No matter if you're using bones or not. Like Kai said, your objects are scaled on some axes. Check the scale in the coordinates manager. The size of your objects has to be 1/1/1 on X/Y/Z as long as you are in the modelling process. If one axis is scaled, the child object gets distorted while rotating in the "distorted" parent co system.
