Latest Update: Final Image: final image....trippin trankilo
04-03-2008, 06:54 PM
hello, everybody joinin' the challenge after thinkin a lot about idea and composition...i decide to do a very simple situation where humans and aliens are already buddies sharing cubans cigars before takin place in the transgalactical express from 9 am.
04-03-2008, 08:12 PM
I enjoy the idea and I think the perspective on the ship adds a lot of character to the piece. I don't like how the alien is holding the cigar, though. I've never seen anyone hold a cigar like that, unless they were making a sex joke. I think that adding a lot of atmospheric perspective and depth to the background is really going to make this one shine.
04-04-2008, 03:57 AM
Hey Franck u're damn right about the holding cigar...lol! it was just a quick sketch not accurate at all im gonna do it properly.. the other guy gonna handle a beer too
04-04-2008, 06:27 AM
Hey there, Didier! So this is the sketch you were talking about. Oh man, the alien is making obscene gestures! :D
As for the rest, I told you already at work.
Keep going! :D
04-04-2008, 01:57 PM
i was sure i lef a comment. anyway! looking good nice perspective!!!
04-07-2008, 03:52 AM
these are the main lines of the perspective and vanishing point i'm actually using few photography as references...
04-07-2008, 03:55 AM
here are the photo i'm using as references ...im gonna try to match as close as possible the background i use also the photography as reference for this weird perspective for the characters..but at the end im goin to make it totally different..and both of them aliens of course.
04-07-2008, 03:58 AM
theres a close up of inside the hangar , i use mostly the line tool because is easyer and less painful than trying to do with a normal brush every thing is paint i m not using the photography reference to paint to be sure to keep a good quality in the final paint
04-07-2008, 04:02 AM
this is the latest update im focusing first on the background the actual characters are just very rough in style shape and colors..the overall colors are also in progress ..it seems the general color mood a bit boring im gonna try a more dramatic lighting it suppose to be early in the morning and those fellaz just spend the whole night chillin outside..
im going to put lot of empty cans and bottle of beers in the foreground..
Amazing perspective, and a cool concept too! Good luck!!
04-07-2008, 10:53 AM
Haha, great funny concept! :buttrock:
04-07-2008, 11:26 AM
i like the concept .. and very nice painting
04-07-2008, 11:31 AM
Oh I see, it was on the video!
Good luck! :)
04-07-2008, 12:07 PM
hey joana i don't understand u?
nightwoodwolf-js3d-Pearlyking..thanks a lot for comments!!
04-07-2008, 12:14 PM
Yeah, sorry. I posted a comment already too. I think I saw your post under the video submissions or something.
04-07-2008, 12:36 PM
i've changed the sky..tryng to find a better mood the hangar is almost finished..now i'm gonna work on the ship...
04-07-2008, 01:47 PM
Hey hey Jab' strikes back!
Nice to see you in this challenge man, I really like the concept, really funny this idea of human and alien chilling together... and the perspective and composition is really great...
Add more beer can bro'!
And keep it up!
04-08-2008, 06:16 AM
thanks a lot simon but where's your entry??
u should drop stuff as well!!
04-08-2008, 06:54 AM
I like the perspective. I am waiting to see how this will develop further down the line. Welcome Didier, if I have not told you that already. Later.
04-08-2008, 07:09 AM
thanks a lot simon but where's your entry??
u should drop stuff as well!!
Hey man, I know, I will post soon, I've draw some concepts, but didn't get time to post.... you know work, work, work!!!
But i will for sure!
Anyway, I will follow your thread, I m sure it will be a impressive final image!
Keep the good work!
04-08-2008, 12:55 PM
latest update i have almost finish to paint the ship im going to start the red scafold tower at left all the main elements are separated in different layers.. i want to do a final color balance and add some atmosferic effects when everything gonna be paint...
04-08-2008, 12:57 PM
this is just a detail ... the ship is almost done...
04-09-2008, 03:44 AM
here are more details.. hope finish the background soon and start the characters and foreground
04-09-2008, 10:02 AM
i have changed a bit the composition.. the image is a bit bigger that allows me more space for details in the foreground
04-09-2008, 12:13 PM
The picture looks fantastic. Great use of perspective.
04-09-2008, 12:25 PM
Oh wow oh wow oh wow. I love that perspective! Awesome!
Well, the only critique I can think of is that because of that perspective, our eyes are drawn more to the rocket than to the human-alien interaction (especially now with the rocket so impressive and the human and alien look like delinquent...)
04-09-2008, 12:31 PM
yeah pegahoul u re right...i think i have to work a lot with the light and colors to bring the attention to the characters also give more contrast in the foreground...and let the overall tones from the background more uniform.. every single element is in a different layer so it would be easier for the balance between diiferents elements..
grooshka thanks a lot!
04-09-2008, 12:38 PM
i have almost finished to paint the background ..now starting the characters i will try to get them cool expressions thats gonna be tuff for me characters are always hard to do.
04-09-2008, 12:53 PM
wow really nice!
you've really got an eye for detail!
04-09-2008, 01:07 PM
wow, just wow! the amount of detail is just plain scary!
04-09-2008, 01:11 PM
now my wife is gonna see me smoking in your ref! im dead.
one thing: La baranda de atras tiene mal la perspectiva.
nice work man . !! :buttrock:
04-10-2008, 09:51 AM
Heya Didier Jaba Mathieuuuu, :) Looking great thus far! I've given you some comments at office, but I will put them here for everyone's sake too: Layers of haze at the background in front of the rocket to help push it back from the focus (the characters). I also suggest a hint of a spacestation beyond clouds to mark a destination if you like.
Keep it up, man!
04-10-2008, 10:21 AM
Jeromooo actually that ship is a transgalactical express so destination is far far away but yes i can think for some object in the sky to give more depht..haze and spec are for final touch when everything will be paint...
Jassar & neubius thanks a lot but u know, actually i have a problem i can't do something simple it too difficult to me so i hide my wickness addin and addin details.. i think tranchefeux got the same problem..
04-10-2008, 10:25 AM
Great perspective. The background looks like a 3D model with that amount of detail you put on it. Good work.
04-10-2008, 10:36 AM
latest update ha ve almost finish to paint the background now im goin to start characters...
04-10-2008, 11:11 AM
You re fast! I really love the background and details can t wait to see it with the final adjustement and FX layers.
Go on with the good work!
04-10-2008, 11:16 AM
the spacecraft looks spectacular, good work.
04-11-2008, 03:33 AM
Trippin tranquilazo! La imagen se viene espectacular, gurí. I can't understand how you get that many details in so fast, I envy you big time.
Dale pa' delante!
04-11-2008, 03:46 AM
Hey Didier, nice background, yo!
One ting only - just to be picky and smartass: for me the highlights on the left red crane-thing are a bit too strong. I feel like it starts to "turn" towards the camera. Maybe push back the tones a bit, or make them a bit thinner.
But overall I like it! Let's see the carachters!
04-11-2008, 06:10 AM
Great paintwork. I love the dizzying perspective of the space ship and launch tower. One small suggestion: you might want to add a little steam or smoke behind your characters just to separate background from foreground a bit more. In particular, I almost lose the cigarette or cigar the alien in the lower right is smoking to some of the tubes in the background.
Great work, though. Keep it up, and best of luck in the contest!
04-11-2008, 11:02 AM
vmulligan: yeah u right actually it was already suggested by jeromoo ..i'm gonna put all atmosferic effects at the end when everything is painted..
piktor: u right Big Z those highlights are too brutal thanks a lot !
GaeasHerald: gracias compadre!
thepineman-SuperXCM: thanks a lot!
04-11-2008, 11:09 AM
i start to paint the alien.. this one is really tired sleepin after a long party night chillin outside...
04-11-2008, 11:52 AM
i' ve flipped my image for the first time and it looks more dynamic to me...
but i have to redo all the graffiti wall because all the tags are flipped too.. :(
04-11-2008, 01:21 PM
i have changed the wall and did a first attempt to the color balance...
04-11-2008, 01:40 PM
man this is awesome. blown away by the level of detail.
i preffer it this way round the line of the railing leads nicely in to the picture .left to right works better :) cool
04-11-2008, 02:40 PM
ta chevere marico ! espectacular!
04-11-2008, 08:05 PM
hey thnks a lot Neubius i think i m gonna keep that way the image its more readable..
Gracias chimboliano... a ver si acabo vaina esta este fin de semana..
04-11-2008, 09:37 PM
simply Amazing Jaba, the composition is perfect!
I love the grafiti in the back :)
but why are the aliens green, maybe you can break the cliche in this one ;)
can't wait to see the final thing, its looking great already
04-12-2008, 02:27 AM
This piece is just a technical marvel..I appreciate how you use references..This sure is a thread to study deeply. tis really coming along beautifully..
Minor crit would be the dark grey area toward the top of the vessel, seemingly needs to convey the same roundness or curves of the fuselage..as it appears to be flat. making it appear to be at aiming at a different vanishing point..In anycase..
im still staring at awe for the piece.
i wish to do one myself :D
04-12-2008, 04:43 AM
Hey D.D.A, I like the new flipped version. Looks more dynamic now. Its nice to see that you leave behind your trademarks to all of your paintings: the graffitis. :) I spotted the other rocket in the background. Its position seemed odd to me. Perhaps you can put it somewhere 'higher up' as it is being launched into the space (so we can see the rocket flame and smoke streaming from its behind).
Also try to make the characters as detailed and unique as the background. The bg is taking all the attention away from them right now.
Keep it up, Jaba!
04-13-2008, 04:03 AM
jeromoo: xie xie ! yes i think its a good idea to make it higher in ze sky..i will try later..LightSovereign: hey thanks a lot u're right! it's totally weak..its hard to see those errors because i spend so much time on it that i don't have a fresh eye anymore thats why im gonna focus on foreground now ..
aliismail: salamalekum ali ..u don't like green aliens but they are not really green..i'm trying to get them kind of bronze color to the skin
04-13-2008, 07:19 AM
No critiques. I'm just in awe. Amazing work!
04-13-2008, 07:55 AM
Wow mind blowing. Well done.
04-13-2008, 08:10 AM
This is going really well man...I m not quite sure for the image flipping... but we will see, the color balnce looks great already... will be an impressive final image!
04-13-2008, 10:57 AM
starting to paint the human character..and addin detail on foreground ...
04-13-2008, 05:37 PM
I like that image. The angle is very impressive and the detail work is great.
04-13-2008, 09:11 PM
nice work..i like the angle of view...the top of the ship bugs me with its perspective....good luck, mate.
04-13-2008, 11:19 PM
sensational man!! i think we have a winner! :D :bounce:
04-14-2008, 03:52 AM
looking unbelievably natural..that sure is some interaction..and all elements blend together hormoniously now.
Though i presonally preffer the warmer tint in palette of your previous version..but only a crit of personal taste.
04-14-2008, 06:28 AM
Is goign better and better! Can't wait for the next update!
04-14-2008, 12:21 PM
andreas-V-nwiz25-SuperXCM..thanks a lot! still a lot of work..actually is the first time that im takin so much time for the finition.. i'm tryng to make it looks real as far as i can but its crazy hard.
asparta...u right the persp is a bit off next update will be corrected..
LightSovereign...yeah actually im not too sure about the over all balance ..haze..highlights etc.. i want first to paint every thing and adjust with more attention later
04-14-2008, 12:23 PM
you change the view and it's getting better and better.
04-14-2008, 01:13 PM
this is just a detail i still have to work on the alien in the foreground and add more beers here's the first one...
The detail just amazes me! I can't think of any crits at the moment, just enjoying watching the whole thing come together!
04-15-2008, 10:59 AM
STARTING PAINTING THE ALIEN IN THE FOREGROUND..VERY ROUGH..NO COLOR BALANCE OR LEVEL BALANCE AT ALL..JUST EXPERIMENTING TEXTURES.
04-15-2008, 11:02 AM
sense of space is impressive.good luck
04-16-2008, 01:02 AM
heres a detail...
04-16-2008, 02:23 AM
El nivel de detalle es impactante che. My tiny suggestion would be to make the aliens a notch more outlandish, just for fun.
04-16-2008, 04:06 AM
Keep rocking, Jab! I have told you this before: it would be nice to see more alien-looking aliens. Currently they look like humans in prothestic makeups. I know you want them to be more human looking so its up to you. I think people here would like to see a more creative design of the aliens: design that is comparable to the rocket you have in your background.
I like the beer can! I suggest you change the Tiger logo as well, even though you have changed the name.
Keep it up, my friend!
04-16-2008, 04:17 AM
jeromoo...i can't change the logo ..u know i'm born in 74 im a tiger in chinese atrology it's suite me too good..yeah i know for the aliens ..but i still believe they look like humans...
GaeasHerald...gracias! si voy a tratar de cambiarlos un poco..
04-16-2008, 08:54 AM
year of the tiger : ) me too
looking amazing man. and your nearly finished! got no crits , but one design quiery. the dude with the cigar, are the spines/horny bits running down the side of his head or down the middle? it's a tricky angle.
any how, top work man.
04-16-2008, 10:27 AM
i' m tryin to get more original design on the alien ..thanks neubius for the advice in the horns..
04-16-2008, 11:41 AM
Very nice work, Jaba :) Personally I would make the aliens look a bit more "alien", but I think yours would do alright.
04-16-2008, 12:21 PM
ha! that totally fixed it. nice one :)that's a heavy toke on that cigar, he must have some mean alien lungs to cope with that :)
04-16-2008, 12:54 PM
MartinNielsen...thanks martin!..im trying to come with somethin more alien but at the same time i want them be close to humans..maybe differents clothes?
Neubius...actually is not really a cigar..its a blunt full of weez thats why i want them looks totally high...
04-16-2008, 01:02 PM
...thought so man, but was being er .. tackfull... or something hahaha
ah well :)
that's a big toke!
Hey Mathieu, really cool and amazing image. Like a lot the forced perspective on it. The environment on the whole image is great. Like Neubius, think you need a some smoke out of the cigar, only a comment :) Again, great work!!
04-17-2008, 07:02 AM
addimg more beers in the foreground..
04-17-2008, 08:11 AM
Graffitti can!! at least one somewhere :)...pleaasee! In other news, this is looking wonderful. Just polish up that foreground and maybe add some enviromental atmosphere effect? Watching for your updates.
04-17-2008, 12:35 PM
stunning work mate.. great concept .
04-17-2008, 01:35 PM
i have changed a bit the position of the alien in the foreground..is very little change but gives me a better feeling like dis for the composition
04-17-2008, 01:39 PM
Bah!!! Jab' that's totally AWESOME! I really like the style of the Alien in the front, like the little details too, and his new face is much better, you have really improve since your last pictures...
Almost finished man, keep the good work... impressive image...
04-17-2008, 01:59 PM
I think your human alien is spot on now..Its interesting..I was almost about to say, less is more..when i look at your latest update, i liked the space between the fence without the rungs..but then after a while, the rungs started to appeal..I'd love to see a high rez version..The work you've placed into this is beyond the beyond :)...
04-17-2008, 06:30 PM
The composition and the perspective complement each other really well on this piece. It guides my eyes to travel through all the visual elements on the painting.
I can see that you put lot of attention to details into your work, can you upload few closeups so we can fully enjoy them? ;)
04-17-2008, 07:00 PM
http://forums.cgsociety.org/images/icons/icon13.gif The best perspective. Also very good textures.
Buen trabajo, esta quedando de lujo.http://forums.cgsociety.org/images/icons/icon13.gif
04-18-2008, 10:26 AM
here are some close ops...
D A M N! ! ! _-__--___-----_----___ JAWDROPPING IMAGE......amazed.
04-18-2008, 10:29 AM
latest update..few more beers to do...few more beers to drink...
04-18-2008, 10:48 AM
Wonderful perspective . It's so well done that my knees are shaking at that sight . Wonderful piece .
04-18-2008, 12:09 PM
Great improvements! I like it!
04-18-2008, 12:59 PM
Jupiter:beer: Is it soda, or beer?
Excellent Space folklore example, it recalls me undercarriage cleaners scenes from The Fifth Element.
Good luck with your lovely work!!
04-19-2008, 04:39 AM
Scala & wen han thanks for support!!
silgrin is not Jupiter is a jupiler a belgian beer from the hometown i use to live...very good one..
04-19-2008, 11:34 AM
Damm, I've missed this one! Awesome work, gorgeous perspective here.
I'm not that fond of the idea of loitering around, personally, but the contrast of high tech with the very mundane scene is very interesing. Anyhow, great, great picture!
04-19-2008, 01:08 PM
very interesting perspective, the details are amazing,,
really looking forward for the final image, good luck!
04-21-2008, 11:47 AM
here are another close up i know some wanna see work with proper resolution..for all the background the tower i use mostly the line tool that allows me a very sharpen render who can look nice from far..
04-21-2008, 11:49 AM
another detail for some rusty aspects i use photography references with the soft light fusion layer mode 15 percent opacity...
04-21-2008, 05:12 PM
Wicked details! Me like! Perhaps you may also want to add the blue motif to the bottom part of the ship like its tip for overall consistency?
I would like to see one or two engineers inspecting the ship from the platform just above the human guy's left shoulder.
Coming on strong now!
04-21-2008, 06:07 PM
WOW!!! Ok, I am REALLY impressed! Great details! Thumbs up! :)
04-22-2008, 03:26 AM
jeromoo thanks i think i can add blue motif...and characters too but i 've first to finish those beers...
artizakO...harachte...thanks a lot !!!
04-22-2008, 04:02 PM
The detail is incredible... :)
Wow! Good job man. nice! Awesome work as ever ! Good luck.:buttrock:
04-23-2008, 04:53 AM
amazing detail you got there, overall image image is looking good.
04-24-2008, 02:33 PM
Almost done..i still have to break some lines..to make a bit more realistic..comments are very welcome i've work so much on that image that is hard to have a fresh eye on it...im gonna let rest a bit before send the final one...and write a cool story..
04-24-2008, 02:42 PM
Well done Jab'!
Like a lot this image, i know it's hard to be on it all day and then find what's missing... for me the background is really ok, my only crit will be on the can, the big Jupiler seems...i don't maybe too flat when you see the other stuff on the image, also the one behind in the same position make it weird...IMHO... but that's just my only crit and you've done a amazing work!!!
Just let pass some days and look at it ... maybe you'll know if you wanna change something and what to change.
You can be really proud man, that's a really piece of art, with an amazing style!!!
Can't wait for the crazy story too!! :wip:
04-24-2008, 03:28 PM
Great work, Didier! I feel the beer cans can be better, and more reflective. The standing Jupiter can (red one) doesn't seem to be of the right size when placed next to the fallen blue beer cans next to it.
Perhaps you want to put some cigar butts sticking out of the beer cans?
Hold it off for a few days and come back to it again. You may find new ideas to add or things to improve on.
Still a great job!
04-24-2008, 04:44 PM
mathieu i have no crits or really anything constructive to say but this image is really cool and inspiring definitely one of the best if not the best ive seen in this competition, great work.
i wanna be like you!
04-25-2008, 12:27 AM
Wow, that's a lot of booze!
About the red can, if you change it, you might as well rotate it a bit, cause it's in exactly the same angle as the one thats a step higher. That was the only crit I could come up with.
04-25-2008, 06:31 AM
Incroyable Félicitations Mathieu
04-25-2008, 09:32 AM
I don't know how I missed this one...
Now, browsing through the thread has me truly and well stunned : crazy perspective, impossible amount of detail, great athmosphere and I personally like a lot the 'loiterers' idea, I find the story is really believable.
My compliments. Chapeau!
04-25-2008, 11:46 AM
SuperXCM.. jeromoo...GaeasHerald...thanx a lot i know for the beers advices.. i agree they look flat and they also look quite similar...also the scale..maybe i was drunk doin-it...
again is not jupiter..is Jupiler..is a belgian classic street beer..
Octostatue...Thaldir...scala..thanks so much for the compliments...i have suffer a lot doin this image..is almost done..
Way cool, man! Winning material for sure. :bounce:
Great job on the Jupiler. :applause: There should be more Belgian beers in digital art! :D
04-25-2008, 12:18 PM
I really like the angle and the overall composition! Great stuff :wip:
04-25-2008, 08:30 PM
really impressive persperctive... great work :applause:
04-25-2008, 08:47 PM
Really nice work, Mathieu. Quite a dizzying perspective you've got there - my neck hurts just looking at it! :) Great job.
04-25-2008, 09:17 PM
Beautiful work :buttrock:
04-27-2008, 01:10 AM
Looks about done now Didier. Hip piece! I look foward to seeing the final illustration. Later.;)
Nice work Mathieu, I love the perspective, haha, love the beer cans, if those are beer cans, i think their jupliers not sure, but if so, haven't had them for a very long time, keep it up, and good luck
04-27-2008, 04:47 AM
That is amazing! - Well, almost speechless.
Amazing detail Mathieu, if you're not near to finishing I'd be even more amazed!
04-28-2008, 01:02 PM
hey man, great work. unique perspective and I learned a lot from this piece. good luck!
in Top ten 2d images for sure... One of the very best work all around! Rock on man! u got a winner piece here!
04-28-2008, 05:23 PM
that view point makes the picture for me. looking good.
04-28-2008, 07:38 PM
Excellent job Mathieu ! one of the best thing I have ever seen from you !
I think it will be something good coming in this challenge from this entry !
04-30-2008, 07:23 AM

Jupy...Maph...Hey hey yes is the jupiler...les hommes savent pourquoi...
04-30-2008, 07:54 AM
i have done very small changes...on the ship ..i hope perspective looks more accurate..and also in the jupiler can shading...i still dont know where i can improve the image is hard to see clearly after been so long into...
04-30-2008, 08:07 AM
Fantastic perspective and work. Just love it! :)
04-30-2008, 01:50 PM
04-30-2008, 01:54 PM
Wow that is a truly stunning image! Love the detail, composition, characters! It is all so good! Great job!
04-30-2008, 02:54 PM
the details are great,, but still the interesting perpective of that artwork really amaze me..
good luck to your entry.

05-07-2008, 03:41 AM
okay i think im done..i have add a cheap lens flare and scale up the alien in the foreground..i don't know if it's better???not really sure...
05-07-2008, 03:46 AM
Hi, Mathieu, I find you may try to blur the lense flare a bit, now it looks like freshly out of the photoshop filter. :P I always feel that lense flare adds something more to an image, I do that with my matte paintings too, but personnally, I think that viewer should "feel" that flare instead of seeing it clearly. You got a materpiece there!!! One of my favorite entries for sure!
05-07-2008, 03:54 AM
thanks a lot Donglu im gonna try to blur it now..
05-07-2008, 03:55 AM
From the looks of it, that philly's been hollowed out and refilled.....;)
Im very impressed Mathieu. This is really a very interesting image. You have come up with a really solid entry to this competition, and a great piece for you portfolio.
I know what its like to stare at something so long you have a hard time analyzing it. Heres my thoughts with a fresh eye:
-The clouds stand out as being photo compared to the illustrative look of all the other elements. Id love to see you paint over these. But if your short on time....set the pressure of the smudge tool low and brush them over, feeling out the form.
-The neck of the bottle that the human is holding seems long to me. (very small nitpick)
-For the most part the lighting seems consistent. HOwever, to me the lightsource on the cigar looks a bit off. Seems to me like the side facing down should be darkest, when comparing it to how youve lit other forms.
I hope this helps a little.
Your a crazy man, Mathieu. Im inspired. Keep at it, with this piece and in the future!
05-07-2008, 04:05 AM
hey winchester thanks a lot for all those crits!!!the clouds are really painted maybe is due of the size of the image it's hard to see...the bottle is actually like dat...i have taken foto as references..but for the cigar u are absolutely right!!! im gonna change this right now..thanks again!!yeah!!
05-07-2008, 04:36 AM
yeah this is the final image ..thanks everybody..it was really fun to do this challenge..i thinks is one of the image that i spend the most time workin on it...
As we missed the latest transgalactical express yesterday night because my dude kool jack was late (waxing his horns 4 sure!), we decide to go to the seveneleven for a midnight shopping...beers,rhum,vodka,phillies...
we smoke almost all the stuff we suppose
to bring to our homies at Orion's constellation.Big daddy purple was as usual already knock-out sleepin' since the first round of beers, the time pass..kool jack has his green emeralds eyes totally turned red but he still standing..one more hour to wait for the first ship it was time to open the bottle of rhum as the third sun start to rise.

Great job Jaba153!
You are right about the clouds! they look fine upon closer inpection.
Good job on the cigar. I wouldnt have even mentioned it, except that is in a focal point so Im glad you fixed it!
Hats off to you buddy! You deserve much applause on this one!
05-07-2008, 04:52 AM
i thought that was a philly!
05-07-2008, 06:07 AM
really nice work!
I can see how much effort did you put into this image, well done!
edit: my only comment would be about that lens flare
imo it looks kind of "cheap" .. and the rings of the flare should always have center in the center of the lens. So they won't be this kind of "random" but laying on a line going from center. But it's a minor thing :)
05-07-2008, 06:08 AM
Congrats, Didier! I really like your story! I can feel like it is one of those photo-journals, which makes me want to see the rest of it!!! :D
The lens flare really does add a nice touch to it.
P.S. did that lamp post come from the Expo area? :)
Once again, congratulations on a work very well done!

Hey Big D!
Congratulations finishing this image! There's a lot of work I know. I like the background story - adds a lot to the picture, makes it more real, more believeable and more natural, even if it's a fiction. I feel this picture could be a cool tourist photo.

Amazing work!... as always:thumbsup:
