View Full Version : hairy objects in environments - how to do it properly?

Hello. I believe i'm not the only dumb who is asking this kind of question. Anyway. Suppose you've made a furry character. Now you want to put it in some environment, say interior you already lit with global illumination. But the problem is that hair solutions in 3dsmax doesn't allow you to lit hairs using gi, and they all require propreatory shadow types. Ok, to lit the hair one can set up additional light sources, but how to deal with the shadows the right way? Are there any tips or walkthrough anywhere aroud to get the idea?
