Ive been working on a crane with a wrecking ball attached to a soft body curve with springs. The problem is that no matter how high the spring stiffness is and dampening, the active rigid body attached to the end with gravity will always stretch it and it wont stop stretching! Ive played with values as high as 2000 stiffness and decreased solver step values, increased solver oversampling and changed different spring types..... nothing works. Its as if the springs do not include rigid body mass in their calculations. Can it be done with softbodies/springs?
