Psycholink 05-10-2003, 11:19 AM I´m new in 3D. I use 3D now in 3-4 months.
This takes me approx 2-3 days ( some few hours per day )
I use 3D Studio Max 5.

Isn,t bad for your first pic, but I tell you the thing I see bad or strangers, the texture of stairs aren,t fit to stairs, you must adjust the uvw maps using box uvw gizmo separatly stair for stair. The same thing happen in wood wall adjust better the gizmo moving, scaling and rotating the uvw gizmo. The illumination is good and the modeling too.
Good luck and be patient with 3d, if you be patient with she, she give you a lot of great moments.

You can see right thrue the lamps and there are no lightbulbs. :/
Oh yea... The walls, the distant wall looks good, but the close ones dosn't. You must fix the UVW map on those.

You may want to change the ratio height/width of the stair/steps, what you have modeled isn't practical inside a house. Safer dimensions would be:
step: 280mm - 300 mm
riser: 160mm - 200 mm
You can dimension any real stair really...

looking better each time ;)
only thing that stands out to me are the tables. they seem too cg. try to give them a glass look or a nice non repetitive wood texture.

nice but I think you'll should try to get another point of view of your scene. Try to structure your picture
