Thanks! Running the results through a Normalmap generator will yield some awesome results too!

Kewl. It's like a stand-alone Kai's Power Tools (KPT) plugin.

Cool app!

Anyone been able to export grayscale heightmaps from it? I've tried File>Export and it results in what just looks like bitmap noise. Or is this feature only enabled upon registration?

I've sent and email to developer, just thought I'd ask here as well. OSX Tiger on PPC G5.

Thanks!

I thought that was what heightmaps are? At least it worked in c4d relief object.

That's the problem, my exported heightmap looks like bitmap noise, not a grayscale fractal.

Export to "32" bit greyscale tiff. Works as expected here.

I just got a reply from David Frampton. He suspects its a PPC related bug.

As an aside, the functionality of this little (but very addictive app) is covered in Biomekk's EnchanceC4d shader plugins, no? Although FluidMac being able to export out to more formats and sizes still makes it great value for its price.

Hi

I'm David Frampton, the developer of FluidNoise.

I saw a spike in sales, and upon investigation it came from here so I just thought I'd post a quick Hi, and say thanks to the many of you who have registered!

I'm always keen to hear from anyone on features/fixes that you'd like to see in FluidNoise. FluidNoise 2.0 is currently being worked on furiously and you are clearly the people who could best use it. So please let me know if there is anything you would like to see it do in the future.

I'm hoping to fix the problem with 32bit tiff export ASAP.

Many thanks,
David

Just to let you know, 1.0.2 has been released which fixes the 32bit export problem on PPC.
