I'm new to this website/forum for this specific issue that I am having with Rhino and vray. I just got it installed today and have been perusing these forums on how to render things correctly using vray for the retail store I have nearly finished modeling. I, for some reason, have not been able to render anything with any sort of color or appropriate lighting to say the least, obviously due to my lack of experience with vray. I was just wondering if someone could help me by getting on aim or something of the like and sort of walking me through the process? This is all due Friday for me and I have a lot left to do so any and all help would be absolutely appreciated. Thanks.

To be honest I did attempt that and it wasn't working out, plus I'm not exactly on a time schedule that allows tutorials, worst case scenario i use flamingo but i'd rather not.

well I don't understand what you want... a ready made render?
just select the object you want to apply a material go in vray material, right click on material, import, then you get in the librarie and choose your material, then change colors... apply..
for the option .vsopt just do the same import a ready made studio and render..
am I missing something?

I think you answered your own question there, I really got lost with what you said. What I was doing was creating a new material and applying a bitmap through the diffuse drop down. Then whenever I rendered it wouldnt do anything but render monochrome with very low lighting even though I applied a lot.

Lighting, at least enough that the scene wouldnt turn out so dark like it is. And the intensity was raised also with no change.
