So a little info to fill you all in on what I am doing. I created a very basic model using concept work by a fellow CGSociety artist. The model is that of the Tree Frog Creature by Milan Atanasije Konstantin Sokrat Colovic. I tried to find the post again to give props, but I haven't been able to locate it. After creating the basic model I set about doing a general rig on the creature using a modified Biped from 3DS Max 2008. The basic idea is to bring life to the character through the animations and set them up as if they were going into a video game.
It is a series of 23 animations at the moment that I will do a first pass on to make sure the timing and general animation is correct. After going through the first pass I will correct any remaining mistakes and add in the secondary motions. I am relatively new to the process, so any constructive criticism or advice in terms of process and execution would be greatly appreciated. Lets start it off with the first handful of my animations. I can handle brutally honest criticism so long as you can't point me in the right direction. I know full well there is plenty for me to learn.
The first animation is a 180 spin.

The second and third are a jump from one tree branch to another tree branch.

Four and five are a jump from a low tree branch to the ground.

Six and seven are a jump on the ground.

Finally, number eight is the beginnings of a quirky little hop walk using his tail.

Attack animation roughs to follow, hopefully encorporating some of the feedback I receive from you all. Have a good one!
