Hi, I have two verts right next to eachother and I set the Selected field to 2 and they won't weld. I set it up more and they still don't weld? How is welding able to be used? I haven ever been able to figure it out. Thanks.

It's possible that there are other issues with the geometry that is not permitting the operation.

Can you post a screenshot of the area you are trying to weld? That should help us to diagnose the problem.

Try moving the verts closer together, though that should'nt be an issue. If you are using max 5, Select both verts, click the button next to the weld button to bring up the mini dialog box. Ranmp up the spinner until it welds. Or, use a target weld.

Try that, and if it does'nt work, then we'll go into it further.

oh wtf, it works this time, i set the spinner up to 500 and it welds

welding verts is easier than i thought, normally they don't weld

well i got it, btw another quick question

are the units that you set it such as like 2 or 5 or 500 is that the same as the units that you use in the dimensions of say making a box or sphere? thanks

The number (threshold) should relate to the units of your scene file...

Another tip if you want two verts to join from any distance (in Editable Poly), select them and hit collapse.

Alternatively, you can select target weld (in mesh or poly) and drag on vert onto the other.

Oh one other thing - Editable Poly objects have a problem elding when there is a face 'between' the verts - however, Editable/Edit Mesh will just ignore anything between them.

Hope any of the helps!
