Continuation of the progression of painting.
I have to place my harmony of color and carries out some test, I want to be simple enough
for the colors in order to not too constrained the reading of the image I like enough blue.
For the continuation of painting I will work over again the angel Saint Michel to give him with dimensions a little the more human with a part of the visible body, surely the arm with a large musculature.

painter the details on that Ci. Now I will continue in comb each part
of the images gradually.

Thanks for the comments on my thread.
Don't hesitate to show me and comment on my thread "the unpleasant things" present in my illustration, most poeple here comment to say only great things -and that's good- but sometime we need some more constructive crits to evolve -and that's better-.
From someone like you I'm ready to ear deeply each criticism.
About your picture ; it will be spectacular for sure. I like 'story remakes' with little distortion as your story of St-Michel=Human Vs Demon=Alien. It's fun.
It's a little bit confused for the moment, but the soft light circles leads well the eyes to the focus point ; the head of St-Michel.
The part to took in hand the sword look a bit little for two hand manipulation during fighting.
That's the only point I can crits in your WIP.
I guess you will create a warm peach/orange light on the top?
Anyway, I 'm staying around, cause your 2D technic of detailing is amazing.

Hi Tranchefeux :)
Your picture is already eyecandy. You really have a unique style, all these lines...and the details, great work. And war, of course, is one of the most obvious interaction :) You bring the theme threw your interpretation it's interesting. I was just wondering about the point of view, that's all. Maybe something more disruptive, more "closer" in the action itself...I don't know. Well of course it's a little bit hard now to do some changes like that if you want to.
Anyway, nice to see you and your work here :)

DeeVad: thank you for your comment, it is true that criticism when it
is justified is more enriching that braiding by pomade. For the colors
I think of remaining in this range or right to put a point of the
complementary one.
Luter: thank you for your comment, I note your remarks but as you he
says it is difficult for me to change now.

On this update I re-examined a little the body of the angel to improve
it and also released the right part with light for better a reading,
the face at summer also to work it closes the eyes maintaining as for
a sign of appeasing after the battle and of mission achieves, for the
remainder I continue to correct and polish the forms.
It is there that begins the transition between a sketch succeeded and the work of a
painting finalized, no matter what for this realization I too much
will smooth returned for not fallen in some thing from too soft and
will not lose in dynamics.

Hi there, Eric. Looking great so far. About the concept, I still feel that it doesn't have the true alien and human relations theme because it looks like a generic fantasy theme. How about making the face of the demon more otherworldly instead of looking exactly like a demon. Perhaps the costume can be alien-looking as well. This way the contest theme can be clearer upon first glance. It is just my thoughts and please feel free to disregard it if you already have a clear solution for this.
Your attention to details are meticulous! :)

Thank you for your comment, yes I understands that there can
be a shift with the subject, but has through this topic, I wanted to
put here with the human angel and the daemon alien the very simple
report/ratio of conflict and war which this product often with being
quite different. I will see whether I chance the face from the daemon
to be less caricatural and more abroad would not be badly.

I think not many people responded to the updates because the updates are not much different looking from one another unless you really scrutinize them very very closely. Upon seeing each updates, I really couldn't tell what new things Eric has done, to be honest.
If I have some crits to add, I would like to say that because the whole piece is very busy, my eyes don't know what is the important point of focus here except the brighter area to the top and I'm sure it is not where you would like me to pay attention to.
That said, your attention to details are still impressive, Eric!

criticisms or comments it to subject great different evolution or
direction in these stations.
My painting is already places from there,
I is not more case to look further into the details and to finish it,
each update is only completion. I envisage can be to add whatever
skeletons in the alien Démon.
jeromoo: Thank you for your comment, yes it there not much of change
as you it underlined because I am in phase of completion.
For your remark it is true that I like complexity and am generous on the
details, dice time a little too what can obstruct the good reading of
the image. I would test at the end some adjustment of level of the
elements for better a reading.

Although I don't particularly like the "noir" vein of art it's very impressive and has fascinating style. Reminds me a lot of H.G. Giger's work.
But I must agree with Jerome about the fact that it's not really about alien and human relations and looks more like fantasy, but then again who's to tell where to make the cut between the two.
One interesting fact is that it shows very nicely the fallacy of the "western" philosophical approach to life - I mean that it's the eternal battle of good versus evil. Looking at this image it's not easy to tell who is really more evil...
Keep up the great work!
Cheers,
Dimitrij.
