Title: Battle in Snow
Name: Timo Vihola
Country: Finland
Software: Photoshop

It's my weird cartoony characters again :)
Our console game is almost ready so I had time to finish this painting. The style was refreshing change from realistic game art.

Some problems with character scale carried over from the old sketch as you can see: (it's fun to sketch without worrying too much about perspective, so bad habits is to blame):

Disney artist Eyvind Earle vivid colored artwork was an inspiration, even though it's probably not immediately apparent.

LadyPurple, Thanks!

jttruong85, glad you like it! I was interested in seeing how people react to the combination of violence with cartoony characters. Old Warner Bros cartoons are very violent but I don't think they actually ever show any blood. Of course in Japanese animations blood flies almost like champagne after a formula 1 victory ;)

Progress shots shows the small changes it went through along the process:

Thanks Johan!I printed the painting on three A4 photo papers and glued them together as a painting, and added a black frame. I ran out of ink for the third print so it has slightly different hue
