Is there a way to add chromatic abberation in to a footage in after effects? is there a plugin maybe? i know i can do it in photoshop frame-by-frame, but just wanted to ask is there a better way?

Thanks

Drop your footage into a new comp. Duplicate the only layer.

Apply levels to the top layer, then set 'black in" to about 80ish... gamma to .3ish... Set this layer to 'exclusion'

Duplicate this layer, set it to 'screen'. Apply a radial blur, 'zoom' type, of about 8->10. Then pull out a colour balance to shift the highlights slightly blue.

Your done... Hope this helps...
