Hey... I was going through old threads and I saw this:

http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=103161&highlight=mike

Does anyone know where I can get this rig today? The links are all broken.

Also, I was trying to buy old issues of RenderNode, and their "Buy Online" link is broken (which is usually a bad sign). Does anyone have an old copy of Issues of 4 & 5 from 2004 that they want to sell?

Or, if RenderNode is out of business... maybe the Messiah articles could be scanned and put on zoogono?

Here you go.

http://home.comcast.net/~peachkefir/GoblinRig.zip

Not sure it's complete or compatible anymore but the basic rig is there .
Thanks go out to MikeRB for his time on this nice example.

Its wild that this is still alive out there. I don't even remember what I did in that video by now.... :) Glad people can still get something from it.

I found MikeRB's Goblin video. I had to break it into a few Winrar files.
I can only make this available for a short period of time and I will need to remove the files from my (problematic) Comcast file space. The .wmv file is only around 11 meg in size.

Hopefully someone else can find some storage space to keep this video of Mike's available in the future.

Here are the rar files,

http://home.comcast.net/~peachkefir/LearningRig_02.part1.rar (http://home.comcast.net/%7Epeachkefir/LearningRig_02.part1.rar)

http://home.comcast.net/~peachkefir/LearningRig_02.part2.rar (http://home.comcast.net/%7Epeachkefir/LearningRig_02.part2.rar)

http://home.comcast.net/~peachkefir/LearningRig_02.part3.rar (http://home.comcast.net/%7Epeachkefir/LearningRig_02.part3.rar)

http://home.comcast.net/~peachkefir/LearningRig_02.part4.rar (http://home.comcast.net/%7Epeachkefir/LearningRig_02.part4.rar)

http://home.comcast.net/~peachkefir/LearningRig_02.part5.rar (http://home.comcast.net/%7Epeachkefir/LearningRig_02.part5.rar)

http://home.comcast.net/~peachkefir/LearningRig_02.part6.rar (http://home.comcast.net/%7Epeachkefir/LearningRig_02.part6.rar)

I tried to unzip, and only got these files to work

LearningRig_02_1.wmv

Thanks!

Use Winrar to uncompress these and create a single .wmv file. Using Winzip won't work properly iirc.

WinRar works here... I think.

The end result is just one WMV file: LearningRig_02.wmv ... yes?

Yes, that is correct. I left the name of the video the same as MikeRB had named it.
Thanks go out to Mike for his surviving contribution. He makes the riggin look easy!
