Title: Avatar aang, the last airbender
Name: Carlos Eduardo Montoya Cortes
Country: Colombia
Software: 3ds max, mental ray, Photoshop

I am a big fan of the avatar animated series, so i decided to make aang to 3d, i love the serie, cause the animation and the story is amazing. And i want to try modeling other characters like appa.

i made a simple render on 3d max 2008, and made the post production on photoshop.

Hope you like it!

Hey buddy long time no see, great to see more of your works, I wish I could say I'm a big fan of aang, I very seldom catch the episodes and I like em' a lot. Your model looks cool, it has the feel of the toon and tose wacky clothes too, I'd love to see your work on the big air bison!

If anyting, I'll comment on the lips, I know the anime style never details lips, so in a 3d portrait like this you have to represent them the best to fit the 2d models, but they look a bit too thin and mmm.... like a continous border around the mouth,, maybe if you make them more realistic in shape but just not too visible it would look more natural, the same for corners of the mouth.

also your'e misssing the arrow shapes on the hands, that's a quick fix in photoshop, I guess hehe....

Great work!! I hope we'll hear more of you soon!!
