Hmmm. nice, id say. Have to see rhino one day, never saw anything but final renders of it ;)

About your plane: Yes, it is very clean. First, of course, texturing is important. Then you could add some more details like hooks, switches, all around the hull.

Didnt know china had that cool looking fighters, reminds me of the efa 2000, but i guess that most of them look alike ;)

So, texture it, light it, and _please_ place in in a nice detailed hanger, maybe with radiosity. Im sick of those planes-in-front-of-blue-sky-pics. I know that flying is their purpose, but with a nice background it looks more interesting

the j-10 is very efa like, in fact a while back one of the aerospace industry mags got conned into publishing a doctored photo of an efa as a spy shot of it, they had to publish a retraction the next month. the main difference from efa is its single engine.

Nice model, you have really good detail in the cockpit and towrds the back of the plane. The only thing that look kinda funky to me was the intake under the cockpit, it looks like it should be further up on the plane. Maybe its just the angle, I don't know.

hehe, nice Rhino aircraft model of J-10A, i'd like to see more details add to the fuselage,gear,cockpit et al. Would you like to paint some cool PLAAF texture? The cockpit blend with fuselage need some more tweak. Just waiting here to see your more progress!

Rhino is not a renderer to show off modeling.
That scanline or whatever it is is making everything look flat and unintresting.

Yeah I see what you mean. I saw a picture of the airplane that you are modeling at the popular mechanics website and the intake looks exactly like yours, so I guess you did a good job on it.

I love the fact that its top secret for no reason, China doesn't know the cold war is over?? this jet doesn't have anything that other countries don't already have. It looks like a middle between F22 and F16

Every country has their own policy. In fact, people can get more information about this aircraft by unofficial way.

There are few countries can design and build modern fighter totally by themselves(I know the last famous fighter of Canada is Avro CF-105 "Arrow", 1958). One strong country must keep that capacity even if the aircraft is not very powerful currently. As I know, the latest fighter (better than F-22) of China will be avaiable in few years. :p

WOW, Awesome plane. It looks incredibly detailed.
The intake does look better from this angle. It actually looks pretty cool. Just a little more texture and this plane will be awesome. Or even more awesome.

Thanks for your support. I've seen those links you gave me.

The pics in FAS are all wrong obviously, and the first right is the photoshop work by me(base on EF2000). ;)

Other two links have the latest photos, but data have some mistakes. Actually their photos came from some Chinese military forum.

My work is base on the real aircraft and make some little changes.

I often export the Rhion model to 3dsmax by using the IGES format, but some surfaces may not be imported correctly into 3dsmax and you should rebuild it in Rhino at first (or use different IGES type, if the 3dsmax type iges is not work you can try the solidworks solid/surface iges type).

I found the 3dsmax v5.1 can support the IGES better than the previous versions.
