I am a PhD candidate doing CFD simulations for biomedical engineering applications. I use ANSYS CFX for simulating flows, but I would love to be able to use the capabilities of MAYA to better “show” my results, with added animations, camera movements around and in/through the geometry and flow.

I am interested in taking the results from my CFD simulations and importing them into MAYA. Is there any way to do such a thing?

I have looked at some of the other CFD programs (XFlow, RealFlow, etc) that I have read about on the Forum, to see if I could import into one of these programs, and then into MAYA, but I am not sure if this is possible.

Any info on using more rigorous CFD results from other programs (such as ANSYS), within MAYA would be of great help.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you might provide.

Best,
docknight
