Hi guys,

I need to do a logo animation for a production company. Basically, it's a film strip moving in a ribbon-esque style. I have two major problems:

1. as you can see in the attachments, the texture goes awkward on the back face of strip and the middle of the whole mesh.

2. I need to move the texture offset the give the illusion of frames moving.

I would move the y offset of texture tag of the mesh to get that kinda illusion, if the textures worked properly, which is the basis of my first problem. but if I can do it any other way, i'd go for it.

i also tried (and miserably failed) to poke around bodypaint UV, but I really suck at it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

MoGraph Spline Wrap was made for things like this.
It is also easy to animate along the spline.
Simple Box Gradient UV mapped and tiled 100:3 onto the Plane object as sample.

Cheers, Alan.
