View Full Version : How can I view my videos on DVD?
pureprplaya 05-09-2003, 03:35 AM I rendered a few videos and put them on a CDR using Neros SUper Video and i tried using the video option but when I popped the CDrs into my DVD player they didnt work. Also what resolution should I use for a 27" sony TV, when I render.

first to play home made vids in a DVD you need to make sure your DVD player is VCD compatible (most new ones are)
second convert the video to MPEG layer 1 before you burn with the video option
VCDs need to be MPEG1
third
DVD quality is 16:9 aspect ratio
i would try rendering at 720x405 (405 can be changed to whatever height needed depending on video)
if that's not clear enough try upping the res but keep your 16:9 aspect ratio
try rendering out a few small clips at that aspect ratio at different rez and see which you like best
hope that helped
