View Full Version : 300 Oracle Dance Remake

Hi

This is my concept of environment of the dancing oracle for "300 The Oracle Dance" from VfxTalk in may 2007. - I was looking for a mood to match the overall look and feel of the movie (the well known "crush effect"), but this particular scene is a lot different than the original since the provided footage looks different than the original. I tried to catch the movie look&feel, and also to emphasize the ideea of trance by reversing and timeremapping her motion. Also added some particles around her to emphasize the ideea of magic.

I tried that, still not working - but now only for the first link (Oracle.mov).
Instead of the movie, it d/l me a web page (oracle.htm) - which i can't open because some preferences on my comp.

The second link, however, works like a charm...

well I am pretty green to the whole cg thing, but that was pretty damn awesome... hopefully I can put out work like that soon... I really like the style, awesomeness.

Good build up but when the climax is reached it ends so abruptly. Overall a nice piece of work and it definitely has the '300 mood'. (:

I think your compositing is great. The one think I saw that makes you shot look less professional is the little lite particles at 00:00:22 that seem to come from her hands or someting. I think it takes away from your shot. Try to do something else or just take them out.
