Here´s the idea. There is this aliens that has entered the earth and been searching for a way to travel around. They are finding a way to get help with their spaceship which had brokendown. The ability to travel trough time has been broken. Then they need to travel to a special place to get in contact with their mothership.They find this modified hotrod and set off to find a good spot to get a wire to the ship.
All this is in a kind of claycartoonish mood.

Now for some serious defending of my image!

It´s this simple that using the human vehicle is a social interacting and
testing of the humans logistic structure is also a way to interact with
humans and their socialnet!
