View Full Version : Help on moody dusk lighting... PLZ
Dalaran AW 05-09-2003, 12:24 AM Hi there,
I was wondering if somebody could help me with a dusk/orange light setup. I tried a lot, but i am bad at lighting scenes. Takes too much time, for me to complete that.
I want to come near something like this: http://raph.com/3dartists/artgallery/khay2.jpg
Could somebody give me a hand, and tell me how many lights, intesity and the locations of the lights in the scene ?
Thanx,
Dalaran AW

welll....jeremy birn rocks indeed so btw get his book 'digital lighting and rendering' it'll help you for sure.......about that scene you posted well i don't think it could clearly be told about what light to place where.....it'd be easier if you show some scene of your with an lil render of it so that we can help on this one.....generally....turn off ambient light....if something goes wrong colour all the lights with different colors and see how they effect each other to improve your scenes

Allright thanx,
Well i made a quick render (plz spare me), of my temporaly setup of the scene. Still not all the geometry is in place and the lighting is not what it should be (:annoyed: )
The image plane on the background is also not the final but it is to give you an imperssion of what I want to achieve...

well generally ...start lighting when all (!) is placed where it should be ....so you don't need to tweak a good setup when it's already done....adn when all the textures/shaders are in place before you can't really tell how the surfaces react to your setup
