My name is Jarett Riva, I'm a Canadian Artist currently finishing up a long term job in the US and looking my next leap. I'm currently in the US on an H1-B visa, which makes transferring to another company very easy.
I have been with SCEA's Cinematics Solutions Group for 2 years. My Credit List includes, Socom: US Navy Seals, MLB 2k4/3, Game Day 2K4/3, Game Breaker 2K4/3, Face Off 2K4, Final Four 2K3, Jet X20, as well as several tities yet ot be released.
While there, I used a vast array of skills ranging from modeling high res character/sets, character setup, texturing, particle animation, Cloth lead, camera and scene setup, as well as a multitude of other abilities. I would love to get into tv/commercial work, as well as film, but sticking with games is cool too.
I've also worked as a lead fx artist on 2 independant films, Blow in Bag, produced by Pod bay Pictures, and The Perpetual Life of J. Albers. which has been entered in many film Festivals. In both Films I used Maya for modeling texturing, and extensive hand tracking, without set info.
I have a demo reel ready to be sent out, and will have a web-page show casing some of my work in the near future.
I'm Specialized with Maya, but can transfer to other programs easily, as I've used Max and XSI in the past. I've used maya for around 4 years, and have specialized in many of it's more technical areas. I'm an expert 3d tracker, using programs such as Maya Live, Realviz Matchmover, Boujou, and Icarus and have 2-3 years exp using these programs. While with Sony, I became their lead cloth animator and expert, using maya cloth for various projects.
