Howdy folks,

I've uploaded the latest showreel to my website, comments and crits welcome.

It's a mixture of stuff, personal and professional, mostly created with Lightwave and After Effects.

I'm not a major critic, but I loved your renders. I come from a film background and one thing that is distracting sometimes is the use of lens flare in CG. The first time I noticed it was the second shot with the helicopter--light glinting off the front of the chopper.
I like the detail in the renders! Good stuff.

Thanks for the comments.

I'm still finding my feet in using post effects for DOF, grading, motion blur etc. so I'm probably a little heavy handed with certain things, such as the flares. They seem to be used a lot at the moment in TV, especially architectural shows. It seems to me that flares were used in CG to give the impression of real camera footage when real camera operators would try everything in their power to minimise them, now they are being used by real camera operators to give a "hi-tech", modern look like CG...you can't win!
