Uplift Universe - Image Entry: Stephen Meli

Hello everyone, this will be my very first CG Challenge. :)

I don't have work to show yet, but I can describe the concept.

It's going to be a stylized/cartoony image of an alien and a person sitting on a couch in front of a TV and playing video games on a X-box 360 or some other gaming console.

I really hope I do well, that free copy of XSI is powerful incentive...

I apologize for the bad drawing, but here is a concept sketch of my alien. He will have 3 fingers and an opposable thumb. All of the digits will end with a fleshy gecko-like pad, and the feet will just be 2 giant pads. The head will be shaped the same as a stereotypical roswell alien, but he will have no nose and the eyes will be humanoid instead of black and olive shaped.

Here is a start on the face of the alien. I'm still working on shaping the eyelids right now.
