Here is the first draft drawing of the Alien, I am sure final version will be a lot difference! :)

My ideas are about the Alien invasion, attacking human, something like that, still haven’t decided but will concentrate more on Alien this time...

Yup, is ZB!!;)

one question, because i gave up on ZB a long time ago just because of this.... how do you setup the rigging ?? because when you import it to 3D max for exemple, it usualy has about 500 000 polygons (to look good)... and leaving no more RAM for the background.... soo....

Normally, you don't export the hi res mesh for rigging, that will kill you machine no question! what you do is export/original lo res mesh, and use normal map or displacement map generated from ZB, to turn you lo res mech into "hi res" model.

Hope this help.:D

Yes... this helps for the rigging.... but in ortder to use that displacement map you would have to put a poly divider on the model after the Rigging... so you still kill your computer when you add the background....

anyway...

I usualy render scenes by "layers".... but it's kind of a waste of time when compositing...
Never used ZB for an animated character... but this time it looks like I have no choice.... that's way i was asking... to see if everybody deals with this problem....

Thanks and good luck!

great spaceship design! i like the silver version better, although the textured version is nice too. silver just looks more fancy, more alien..as if they are so advanced that they dont need the ugly panels and bolts to hold it together : )) but then again...this one is organic..as if they grow their ships, which is even more advanced and alien lol..nice shape anyway :)

Thanks, you are right, I prefer the clean silver looks as well, just cant stop putting some textures on!!:D I will go for the silver version I guess.

Alvin, your works is always freaky..LOVE your ship designs, they seem like little mock up models that are being lined up to be photographed..

Its cool to see your imagination hasn;t (or doesnot seem) to be limited by medium..

Way to go alvin

Cool at the moment he looks like Silver Surfer
Old trick - If your runcycle isn't perfect you could always move camera a bit higher so it won't show contact between floor and feet which human eye is focused on.
You may try it!
Keep up your great work!
Wish you best!

Hehehe was he smoking a cigar after killing him?

I think you did a good job :)....the animation needs some work but your piece overall was a nice chase sequence. I think you did a good job with the environments....making it look all industrial as if we're in the belly of a giant ship.

Keep it up! Looking forward to the making of and trailer :)
