Title: SS NOMADIC
Name: Emil Besirevic
Country: United States
Software: Maya, mental ray, Photoshop

This is a work I did on my spare time during my second term at Gnomon, both are 2K renders because they were submitted for a competition at school.

SS Nomadic is the last remaining ship to have been in touch with Titanic, and is currently being rebuilt/restored. The Nomadic Preservation Society was very helpful in providing image references for me to actually build it at least 98% accurate.

I appreciate any comments, thanks.
Also worth noting, this was all built on a 499$ laptop, it was a very fun challenge in the end :)

Very nicely executed. Also has a bit of an old photograph feel to it because of the colours/saturation.

Hey thanks alot everyone! :)

About the ocean, it actually started out as a 3D one in Maya, I did however
re-do it altogether in photoshop, so it's alot of postwork. The ocean itself is made
out of 4-5 photo's of ocean.
In the end, if you look at the same clay render below, thats what I actually
ended up having from Maya in photoshop, so the surrounding environment is post.

Here are some quick clay render so that the whole model can be seen:
The model is 98% done, there's one piece in the very back infront of the flag
that I can't find any reference of, other than that this is how it look back in 1910

Top notch job lv-88, 5 stars all the way! I don't see how I missed this one. If your ever into sci-fi, may I suggest the Battleship Yamato, from the classic Anime series Star Blazers? It would be very cool to see you model that.
