Title: Goblin ready to fight
Name: Filipe Lopes
Country: Brazil
Software: Photoshop, XSI, ZBrush
This is an image I have just finished. I created this caracter based on the idea of a goblin that has made is own armour and now is ready to fight.
I created the basemesh using ZBrush and XSI, then I brought it to ZBrush to complete the modeling and then back to XSI for lighting and rendering. I used a lot of procedural and painted textures and the post production was done in Photoshop.
Here are some close up's of the image:

Excellent model and textures!
IŽd like to see him in his "natural" environment, maybe a cave or wilderness.

Hi everybody,
bst-art: Thanks a lot... Initially I thought about putting him in a forest... But that should be very time consumming and I would probably not put the necessary focus on the character... Maybe next time ( sure I'm gonna make another goblin/orc in the future... LOL )
ipdesigner: thanks ;)
Yngram: thanks man... I'm showing other shots in ZBrush... Hope you like it ;)
DiegoMaia: hey man... thanks... it means a lot "hear" it from you... ;)
ahmedmax: thanks :D
HocusPocus: thanks :D
And here are some ZBrush screen captures... Hope you like it...

Love the POV of this image. It really gives a sense of scale to him. The modeling/sculpting on this character is incredible. Excellent work.

really loving this! reminds me of a lot of cool sword games that i played. The final image looks very good, but i think that there's stuff to imporve on the hands and body but i suppose it's useless for a still image.
top notch man! i hope u get plugged
*edit*
i think that the shading could be improved, by this i mean that the metal armor could be given more attention in terms of specularity/reflection. right now it looks a bit like plastic, the specular being on all parts of the mesh and all. also the compositing looks cool but has strange areas, like the backfoot(seems it's not touching the ground) and the left hand gives you the impression the blade is on the ground and not suspended in mid air. again i like it, the face looks believable and has rafinament.
cool work!

Hi Raul,
I'm really glad you liked. Its always a plesure to have a good feedback from a very talented artist.
I do agree with you about the metal area. I should have worked a lil bit more on it. And I think that the strange look of the backfoot is caused by the back light, next time I'll work harder on it.
Once again, thanks a lot for the critics and comments.
