I searched the forum and couldn't find anything on this topic, so here goes.
I recently started using MAX 5.0 for work and fell in love with Stitch Selected in the UVW Edit window. It's already saved me hours and hours of meaningless toil, and I love it.
Well, I just upgraded to MAX 5.1 and when I tried to use Stitch Selected in this version, all of a sudden, it's broken. Instead of rotating and moving the target to the source without any distortion like in 5.0, it interpolates the shortest distance between the two objects, rotating and distorting and everything, and not even moving the target object like it used to. In some cases, it even welds the two edges into one point. Basically, every reason I ever had for using that tool (or MAX at all) seems to have been been removed in this update.
What the hell happened?
Did Discreet break this in the new version, or did they change the functionality I want into some other tool? I finally just starting to actually like MAX after 5 years of intermittent use, and then this happened. Is it something I'm missing or is it truly broken? :\
I don't know if this is relevant or not, but I'm using Windows XP SP1. Any help is appreciated... thanks in advance.
