Hey everyone!

I am starting an animation of my new basketball character today. My first human ever so it shall be very exiting :)
Anyway....
I have made some poses and stuff but the more detail I get into it seems like a globlal control is very very un neccessary when I poseanimate a character.
Betetr used for a walkcykle I guess. Right?

So my simple question is: Should I use a global control when I just want to animate him to run from midcourt and dunk the ball?

Quick answer is very appreciated! :)

I think you're right on with your assumption about global controls, however they do have their uses (such as keeping rotations in check when youbreak a certain rotation plane that can cause some rigs to go haywire)...but yes I think for a character to run up to the goal and dunk a ball, you should be just fine leaving the globals alone, unless he's going to be doing wierd flips or 360 spins.

I'd like to see what you come up with!

Cheers! =)
