Title: Octiger-Hybrid creature.
Name: Scott Findlay
Country: United Kingdom
Software: Painter, Photoshop

Octiger was created for a weekly challenge where we needed to create a hybrid creature. I (obviously) went for the tiger/octopus combo here. It was done mostly using Painter with some further adjustments to details through PS. I would be interested in any crits you care to give that can help me in the long run.
Thanks!

Edit: I have altered the skin tones of the man, his facial features and clothing entirely as well as the direction in which the Octiger was looking. Thanks for the input!

Very interesting concept. I like your colouration of the octiger.

I have two critiques:
First, the tiger's eye does not seem to be trained on its victim. It looks a little bit distant, even though it is making a fierce face.

Second, it looks like you put a lot less work into making the human look real than you spent on the monster. The human's skin is very pasty if he is meant to be someone who spends a lot of time outside in the sun, and his face seems a little lower quality than the rest of the picture.

I like it overall though, thank you for posting it.

Thanks for the critique! I agree 100% I only had one week for this challenge so I did not get everything as polished as I should. Admittedly, I forgot that the man should be more tanned. When I noticed that the eye did not focus on the man, I remember thinking to myself that there might be other men or something that it was focusing on, but as they don't show, I ought to change it. I will definitely be working further on this soon. :)
