View Full Version : A couple of walk cycles....
3rdDimension 05-08-2003, 08:23 AM These are just two walk cycles I worked on for a little animated short(real short!) I'm doing. They were not lyn' when they said animating walks cycles are the hardest thing to do! Crits and comments are always welcome. Thanks:D

Yeah I think your right on that one! Man if it weren't for these forums, I think I'd go crazy tryn' to animate(or learn in my case). I'll get on making his steps a little heavier. Thanks:D

pretty cool stuff, just a quick thought, maybe have the dino's arms closer in to his body. Course he might only do that when he wants to book it, so if hes just jogging around maybe he doesnt mind them dangaling a bit.

P.S. how many polys?

Hey thanks for the comments. As far as poly count goes, Cyclops is 2,600 tri's and Dino is 1,000 tri's. I know the amount of poly's could be handled alot better, but my main focus is on the character animation aspects. I do try to keep the polygon count resonable and not get too crazy. I put a lot of geometry in the areas that I needed to bend and deform far enough for the poses I plan to have them go through. Hopefully I'll get better at poly distribution as I continue with doing more animation shorts(about a minute and under for each).:)
