View Full Version : Editing duplicates long after the fact?

Hey,
I made a duplicate of an object and moved along with what I was working with, but now I need to go back and edit the rotation/position of those instances. How do I get back to that menu?

Thanks for any help.

Sorry, but you cannot get to those settings unless you use Duplicate again. Duplicate is merely a function, not an object. It is a one-time action you take to save you some effort. It's not like Array, for example, which is an object with actual settings. It would be nice if Array were enhanced to have more options (like Linear and Along Spline) other than just being a radial array object, but for now I think you'll have to either manually adjust each object or instance that you created with Duplicate (which may not be easy to precisely calculate) or else remove them and re-run Duplcate again with different setttings from the point you are at now.

It should also probably be mentioned that if you have MoGraph, there are various other avenues you can utilize instead of Duplicate.

Thanks chromecity, for taking the time to explain. That does make sense. Maybe in future versions there can be a way to re-edit the duplication...

But much appreciated.
