Ok first off...

Hey gang, my name is Swami, and I just thought I'd show something I just made so I could get some tips as this is one of my first attempts at modelling a character. So I just realized I've been a spectator for too long and its time that I show something...

So anyhow, I had modeled other things before, way more mechanical or the average flying logo and had never attempted a character, so this is it, it wasn't rigged or anythingit was done in poly for a still, so you can probably tell I cheated a little with the photoshop afterwards lol but anyways its not like it couldn't be done in after effects or something of th sort... hehe so anyhow...

Where I cheated:

The halo, details around the hair and some color correction...

So anyhow, I hope you like it, if you're a pro and you don't well remember when you weren't a pro and tips or suggestions can will and are appreciated.

By the way...

The method for modelling this character was loosely based on Dave Komorowski's Polyhead Modeling tutorial, so mad props go "The Hobbit Guy" for such a cool tutorial which can be used for a lot of things ;) Also, Alex "Mesh3d" Puente was kind enough to give out a few pointers in the production of this little model so I thought I'd give credit where credit is due ;)

The materials could use some work. Still looks a bit plastic. And I'd up the resolution on the shirt a bit.

Looks like a pretty ok first try to me
