My concept. A semi utopian society that is not that far off from our own but values living "green" much more than we do and is more focused on creating beautiful spaces for people to live in than functionality. Every rooftop has a garden and/or grass and there are many trees lined throughout the city.

Hi Matt nice to see something based on beauty and the concept of utopia. How about some wind turbines?

I think this will be a glass half full type of matte work.

Cool ideas, I like the bridge coming across, could be cool even with greenhouses or atriums/arboretums.... or not, Looking forward to it. :thumbsup:

Rockhoppermedia: Thanks for the idea about the windmills. I implemented the idea into one of the concepts but I'm not sure it works and I think it kinda detracts from the vegetation.

Even though it's past the deadline I am still working on this. Here's my current progress on one of the mattes. I wanted to post cuz I want everyone's input.

Yeh, i hope everyone will continue to develop there work to the end, regardless of time :)

Looking good so far, loving the right side with the house and vegitation. The trees to the left and center need attention to the lighting, the original scene has very little direct lighting and quite diffused so be careful with them hard shadows around the trees.

Also i feel you need to establish a good focal point. Maybe drop the central line of trees or replace with some that are much smaller.

The background buildings are currently lacking depth and look a little flat, also the perspective is a little off.

Try flipping the canvas every so often to get a fresh perspective over the whole composition.

Matt- Pretty much agree with Dave on everything. LOVE the house/plants to the right, and yeah, I would maybe shrink the trees in the center, I like them but they draw my attention too much. nice work! :thumbsup:
