That's an exciting creature you've got there, reminds me of bringing insect repellant when I go to my summer cabin next time:-) That was the next thing I was going to model(Bug Spray). I'll try to incorporate it as a chimp or dolphin weapon. I'm actually going to be a bit ambitious and try to do a battle seen on an epic scale. More to come thanks for the reply.

Neat! I like creatures like this -- things that aren't quite like anything on Earth. This is kind of like a horseshoe crab, kind of like a cockroach, and overall, unambiguously alien. Nice start!

Thats amazing work. It reminds me of a fossilized Trilobite ..With the way my imagination works, i could see this at least 10 kilometres wide creature, gliding in the air
I can also imagine it looking fantastic flying backwards aswell..hahahahaha
hey great work so far..can't wait to see this in its proper context!

Thank you Vikram! I'm a big fan of the Cambrian period. This is based off of Bristolia Bristolensis, one of the more exotic trilobites in my opinion. Nothing more alien and creepy than a trilobite. Thanks for your post and support!

MarleyThanks Marley! 10 kilometres is pretty big. Maybe I could put the rest of the army on it's back. Can you imagine that thing getting ready to land and wreaking havoc? I could probably put humans on the ground paralyzed with fear. Thanks for the encouragement.

I was off due to some reasons, but i have made my mind up to continue on the "video category" on this challenge. Thus I gave up with the "image category". I wish i have time to complete both but schedule is tough and time gets short. I pray and hope i can produce a good video here.. Let's see anyway.
I have changed my signature link to show the video category entry!!
Your ornament detail looks like more than an ornament, as if it is a hidden and/or sleeping alien at the wall who is about to attack .
I wonder much about the whole scene. Looking forward.

I've been reading the books, very cool. keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to receiving more of your input. Best of luck.

Aha, as far as I can see there is knowledge and an idea behind your endeavor. That is what I like. The final image is still a surprise. And the scenic elements shown are great and puzzling at the same time: how does it all come together? Great... and at the same time handling a busy family life! Hmm. Well, good luck. There is still some work to be done ( especially thinking about my own undertaking).

What a freaky design for the alien! Aliens sharing a 'high' time with the humans, cool idea! I have a suggestion: add some orifices on the alien so that when it takes a puff, smoke billows out of the orifices. I think that will make for a great effect! Perhaps you can give it pincer-like hands to hold the hookah/shisha pipe. Keep going, Brad!

Hey Brad, that is looking really great, incredible alien designs, love it :D Your interior design reminds me a bit the space station on Kubrick's "2001: a space odyssey " (another of my all times favorite films), cool, with a nice retro touch on the furniture design, really cool! :D  . It looked allright. As for 2001 A space odyssey, I saw it when I was a kid, great show. Thanks again.Brad

I can imagine a grand lounge design, with mysterious pipes and tubes hanging down from the ceiling with which they use to smoke their 'shisha'. I can imagine the alien as some bad ass mafia lord, with a smart-looking alien suit. You should give it a plush sofa upon which it will rest comfortably. Perhaps turn the angle around a bit, so we can see more of it. The object on the ceiling could be a special light which will shine on the big alien giving it an air of menacing glamor and mystery.
Nice stuff so far! Keep going, Brad!

Hey Ryan,
I'm adding more lights to the scene, especially the interior. I'll have to see how the slug looks at that point. I have a SSS shader on it right now, there's still a million tweeks to perform. Keep stopping in,
Brad.

Very nice clean render. I like the architecture and the shiny equipment.
Your first alien is really cool. Next century spiderman?
Looks like it's really coming along.
Maybe you could look at the design on the back of the chairs again?
Or is it western styled? Dunno maybe just my taste.
You look like you know what you're doing wish I could say the same.
Nice going :buttrock:
