One Idea.
The year is ...2068

Log #78659
We have landed on a parallel world.
Contact with the alien species is required if we are to repair our hardware.

Log #78662
Upon first contact, we find they are a race in fear, similar to our own.
They kill 2 crew members and have a third captured and placed on display in the city center.

I have made contact with someone I can trust; a few actually. There is something that draws me to her compassion. It feels like home.
If we can make it out of the city, we may be able to repair the ship and rescue Jim, before its to late.
