View Full Version : Effects Animators
tleisher 03-21-2008, 06:56 AM So I just recently saw this title for the first time and it threw me for a loop. What exactly do they animate? The fluids effects and particles, or something else entirely?
Also, does a Character TD just handle the rigging, skin and muscle of a character.. or do they do more like shading and whatnot?

(http://forums.cgsociety.org/)In computer animation, effects animation is the animation of any non-character elements, such as fire or rain. Like in ''Finding Nemo'' when the father is hanging with Dory on to the whale's tongue and theres water pouring down on them. Effects animator need to make sure the characters are still visible, by tweaking and adjusting the water parameters. =)
