This is my first time posting in these forums, I don't know if my art is even good enough to put here, but I figure with all of the great artists here I will get some helpful critiques and help.

Anyway, here is what I have after sketching it then working on it in photoshop for a few days.

Please tell me what you think!

EDIT: This picture doesn't have the same depth and shadows that the original has, for some reason when I "Save for web and devices" it changes the colors a bit. Any tips to fix this?

Cute piece, Andy. Love the square whale!

You may need to adjust your Photoshop color management to use your monitor settings. I do that when my "Save for Web" goes wonky like that.

The eye of the whale needs a bit more work, and the island looks like it is way up off of the water with that bit of cliff near the bottom, but overall, this looks like an interesting tale!
