this has happend to me a few times and it pisses me off... when i
click on the arc rotate or any of the move tools and try and move something in the perspective or any viewport for that matter it goes to wire frame selection.... like if i had a sphere it would be just a squarewire frame that is the selection of that object........
can anyone help me in my problem???

i am probably wrong, but press the "U" key on your keyboard and see what happens

The explanation: the O key is the 'adaptive degradation override toggle'. When the scene is to 'heavy' it will draw wireframes instead of shaded polygons.
This feature can be handy when you are working with big scenes, because rotating 400k shaded polys is not always the fastest way of working. :)

I think Oikman should win some award for being the 1 millionth person to ask this question. Seriously, that question is asked on here at least once a week... it should be a 'sticky' topic or something.

:deal:

I've added this question/answer to the "tips & tricks" thread (inside the "3dsmax tutorials/tips" forum). ;)
