Just use a transparency map for it. you just need a pic or drawing of a stained glass window.

There's actually a shader node at highend3d.com that makes imported photoshop images render like stained glass.

I haven't used it yet, so I don't know exactly what it does, but I know it's in highend3d's shader section of maya.
