I'm late ....
drawing is not one of my abilities, I hope the following milestones will be more "professional"
04-10-2008, 05:13 AM
started with modelling phase
04-10-2008, 07:12 AM
headmodelling finished - hands will follow
04-10-2008, 07:17 PM
Didn't like to do the hands. I started the alien instead
04-11-2008, 06:32 AM
Afraid of doing the hands I continued the corpus and worked on the loops of the low cheek
04-11-2008, 08:29 AM
Great, I'm waiting for more to come!:buttrock:
Viel Glück Landsmann! :)
good model.the human face is so well done....keep it up!
04-12-2008, 10:06 AM
Torso is finished - NOW I will start modelling arms and hands :)
04-12-2008, 10:33 AM
Your character looks very "gentle" and peacefull, maybe it's the lightning, or his face, but I like the result. Will je keep that peacefull attitude with the aliens...what are their relation ship?
By the way you have a good start with this modelisation!
04-12-2008, 12:15 PM
Great modeling, i agree with Macus about the peaceful qualities. Looking forward to more.
04-12-2008, 02:17 PM
did it :)
04-12-2008, 06:34 PM
thank you for your comments and kudos :)
I plan to show a peaceful scene, a symbiosis between us and them.
04-13-2008, 10:54 AM
So now you did the hands you were so aware of? :D
Very nice model.
It really looks kind of peaceful, but, in my opinion, i can't decide in the last render, whether it's a peaceful or a damn evil, sadistic smile (because of the eyes).
04-13-2008, 11:21 AM
Looks great so far, I'm really curious what the finished composition will look like since there was no head or torso in your concept.;)
Ich erwarte mit die typisch walross'sche hohe Qualität!
04-13-2008, 01:44 PM
Good luck for the challenge! ;)
04-14-2008, 06:14 PM
rigging is not perfect, I know, maybe I will improve it. painted a slight colormap. I think, it's time to work on the alien :)
04-14-2008, 06:37 PM
The alien is the fun part eh? :D
The skin-material looks nice so far. Only thing that bothers me are the anatomical problems at his left upper arm/shoulder/elbow.
But you'll fix that, I'm sure. ;)
Again...a very well done model.Keep it up!:wavey:
04-15-2008, 11:55 AM
watch out, aliens are coming :)
04-15-2008, 12:19 PM
I think it's to early to say something, but there's no doubt that the aliens will look great.
But why's that annoying noise/grain in the picture?
Some kind of DOF?
04-15-2008, 12:23 PM
SaphierS, yes it should be a sort of DOF - I were very impatient. Here the better version ;)
04-17-2008, 07:54 AM
added the little aliens and worked on the mans anatomy and eyes.
04-21-2008, 05:17 AM
after several tries I think I've got a way to place some wrinkles
04-22-2008, 07:43 AM
changed POV, started building the scene, added some hair which need a lot of work. I also noticed that I should model the mans hips :)
04-22-2008, 06:29 PM
doing hair in blender ist so much fun :)
04-24-2008, 08:14 PM
just another WIP
04-29-2008, 07:32 AM
So aliens and human are assimilating each other. What follows ist work on textures and lighting.
05-03-2008, 08:27 PM
so, its done. I dont think that I have time enough to make it perfect but I am satisfied with it.
I woke up in the middle of the night, feeling a warm light from behind. I took my teddy and sat up - recognizing the small wormy creatures crawling up my arms. Somehow they let me know that I didn't have to be afraid so I let them do what they did .... and enjoyed it to the ful
05-03-2008, 08:52 PM
Bravo, looks great!
I never doubted you'll finish it.
05-04-2008, 01:19 AM
Glad to see your final image!
Even if the frame isn't the nicest (double copyrighted), your postprocess hat a very good effect on the overall mood in your picture. Another nice piece!
05-06-2008, 08:56 AM
I didn't post before because wel.... i'm chicken. Great to see what you've done. Was a little worried baout the hairs before but you've handled the particle dispersion quite nicely.
05-06-2008, 12:07 PM
skin could use a little sss....but meh..doesnt matter...
one of the most original ideas..you pulled it of very well...good luck!
