so i worked out the background some and got the ruff silhuettes for the characters. gotta add the little rodent aliens later.
would love to hear the story behind this one. image looks excellent.

thanks. the stories kind of loose but its a couple on break from work who run into little rodent aliens in space suits that i still have to put in. by the way i really like that penguin picture. the rocks look good and the main guy is great.

added the rats. i think i'll get rid of the two in the very front that you only see part of.

this is the loose character sketch. its a couple making first contact with rodent astronauts. i had already started working on the figures and realised i didn't put the sketch on here yet so its gone alittle beyond this point.

so this is the final image. its a couple taking a break from work in the alley behind thier shop. while sitting around enjoying each others company they happen upon some small rodent like space men and make first contact by offering them a wafer to eat. one space rat stands guard while another reluctantly accepts the cookie with gloved hands.
the idea pretty much stayed the same throughout the painting process accept that there were 3 or 4 more space rodents at one point but they weren't working out so they had to go back to the ship or the trash bin or wherever they came from.

The idea behind your image is nice, but the final image is too small to see
Good luck any way :)

yeah i know i got he size wrong when i posted these and i can't get the ftp thing to work for the final image so i probably won't make it in but it was fun to do anyway.
