Hi,

Can I open a Cinema 8 file with version 7 or should I save the file as something other than .c4d? Thanks in advance.

No, you can't open a R8 file in R7

How ever it is possible to export to obj. and then import in. but this wil obviously not give you all the info you would have with the original file.
