They came and they were annoyed by fat neighbours. Just my first idea for something I'm aspiring to complete in 3d, but I'm just so crap at all that UV mapping and my zbrush displacement maps tend to explode all over the place. Oh well, maybe it'll just end up as a 2d comp.

1. Maybe give the robot a futuristic grill in his yard.

2. Perhaps giving the robot a futuristic house would make a nice contrast between the neighbors and do more to fuel their arguements.

Also, I always have problems with those damn displacement maps too. Everything always ends up looking horribly disfigured.

Yeah, there will be a lot more going on, hopefully. I also want to do away with the dull two point perspective if I can and, like you said, make the conversation a little more heated. In the end, I'd rather have the interaction taking place in an everyday situation with a scene that people can identify with. I'll throw up if I see another futuristic alien city full of high rises with teeny weeny square windows.

This is actually a frontal reference I sketched for the 3d model. But I'm still struggling with that run-out-of-the-bathtub-screaming idea.
